Architect: D. Stanley Dixon

The objective of this project was to create a modern home from a 1960’s ranch using French Mansard architecture.  The original three bedroom two bathroom home just is not comfortable living by today’s standards,  so the second level addition allowed for raising the main level ceilings to 9.5 feet, expansion of the master suite, kitchen, laundry room, and living space; as well as the addition of a full bathroom, two half bathrooms, two bedrooms, playroom, mudroom, and a garage.

The objective of this project was to recreate all of the interior & exterior living spaces of this Chattahoochee Riverfront property using century old reclaimed wood paneling, hand hewn beams, plaster walls, & natural stone to create an old world feel while still utilizing some of the more advanced construction techniques and modern technology.
